LOCATION:The mosque is on the ambit of Mouchatzir (Asha Machala)in Doiraniis street and it is consisted of the mosque and the imam's house.The mosque is called Mouhatzir mosque.Mouhatzir are the muslem refugees from Bulgary who came in Xanthi during the war between Russia and Turkey (1877-1878).
It is a quadrilateral stone-built building 12*10 m. The baroque entrance is very imposing.The praying area is rectangular and spacious and the michrab is simple.The roof is flat and has a simple decoration with geometrical shapes in the centre.The minaret is made from white marble and it is architecturally free from the rest of the building since it is adjoined on the south west side.Its base is rectangular while the circular side has twenty sides and a row of red bricks decorate the base.
Originally it was built to be a mastzit and later it was turned into a mosque.
