THE MONUMENT:The temple of Annunciation was built in 1858.It is a three aisled basilica of three hypostases and a modern narthex. The oldest icon in the temple is dated in 1801.It is the icon of Panagia Odigitria created probably by a local modest artist.

The icons of the temple are intriguing. The icons of Christ , John the Baptist, and Virgin Mary were created in 1856 by the hagiograper from Kozani George Asteriou. The household icon of the Annunciation was made in 1869 by the artist Stergios G. Zografou from Nevrokopi. The artist was an active member of the Greek community in Nevrokopi. It is reported thet with his brother George, who was also an artist,as local dignitaries impeded the schismatic Bulgars to seize the temple of the Assumption and send away the greek patriarchal of Nevrokopi.

In the holly bema there are the icons which used to be in the Pammegistoi Archangels' temple. The icon of Theotokos Rodon Amarando (1829)
