The Cultural club of women of Strimi (Prefecture of Rodopi) is creating a ghlendi in the last Sunday of Carnival, where women revive the traditional custom of dancing with the brush that has a satirical and recreational character.
They also entertain themselves with the custom of ?the hanging egg?. According to this custom, women are sitting in a circle with their hands tied up, trying to grab a boiled egg with their mouth. The egg is hung with a thread which is fixed at a long piece of wood.
