Although the ending –ήσω is the commonest ending of second conjugation verbs in future, some verbs which form the simple past in –εσα, -ασα, -ηξα and -αξα follow the same pattern in simple future and form their endings in the first person singular is –έσω, -άσω, -ήξω and –άξω respectively.
