The Court of Auditors The Court of Auditors, based in Luxembourg, has extensive powers to examine the legality of receipts and expenditures and the sound financial management of the EU budget. The Court of Auditors consists of 15 Members originating from the 15 Member States and appointed for a six-year term. They are independent and have specific experience in the audit of finances.
